HEARTFELT CREATIONS - JANUARY 4, 2012

It is hard to believe a new year is here already!   My wish for each of you for the New Year is health and happiness and time to do what you enjoy in the year ahead.  For me that is making cards and I sure have been having fun creating again this week for Heartfelt Creations.  This week I used two stamps with a winter theme. 

My first card I am entering in a challenge called Craft a Scene Challenge #1 - Anything Goes .

WINTER SCENE CARD

  • Copics:  E31, E35, E37, E40, E42, E43, E44, E47, R22, R24, R27, C00, BG000, Y28, YG97, YG99, G99
  • Embelishments:  Stickles - Diamond, Art Glitter Ultrafine Transparent - Crystal

Instructions:
4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Card Size
Start with a 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of Kraft cardstock and score at the 4 1/4" mark to create an A2 size card base.  Next cut the Echo Park patterned paper 4" x 5 1/4" and adhere to card front.  Stamp the bow from the Poinsettia Cheer Bells set and the winter scene from the Snowy Window Scene set on Cryogen White paper with Memento Ink.  Color with Copics.  Cut out winter scene with Classic Square LG Spellbinder and add Crystal glitter (on ground) and Diamond Stickles (on trees) for accents.  Detail cut colored bow and adhere both to card front.

  • Copics:  BG000, BG72, BG75, BV13, BV17, Y28, C00, C1, C3, C5, C7, B91, B93, B97, E31, E33, E35, E40, E43, E44, E47, R01, R05, R08, R22, R24, R27, R59, R83, R85, YG61, YG63, YG67, YG97, YG99, G99, Colorless Blender, Spica - Lemon, Red & Gold
  • Punch:  EK Success Scalloped Scallop Edger Punch
  • Embellishments:  Art Glitter Ultrafine Transparent - Crystal, Twine, Button, Ranger Embossing Powder - Gold

Instructions:
4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Card Size

Stamp mailbox scene on Cryogen White with Memento Ink and color with Copics.  Cut out with Classic Square LG Spellbinder and add Crystal glitter.  Stamp "With Love" sentiment from Inspire Me Sentiments with clear Emboss It Ink on red cardstock and add gold embossing powder.  Heat set.  Trim edges with Scalloped Scallop Edger Punch.  Adhere mailbox scene and sentiment to card front.  Add red twine to top of card and secure button to center of bow with hot glue gun.
