Cooking Chipboard Embellishments

Hi everyone!  Today I am highlighting Want2Scrap's Cooking Chipboard Embellishments.  It is amazing how with embossing powder it is possible to really change the look of chipboard embellishments.

The Cooking Set of chipboard embellishments arrives like this.  I first carefully punched out each embellishment and with a file smoothed each embellishment, as needed, at the points where each embellishment was attached to the sheet.

I inked the rolling pin from the Cooking Chipboard Embellishment Set with Tree Branch Wendy Vecchi Archival Ink, added the coordinating Tree Branch Embossing Powder, tapped off the excess and heat set it.  I then sponged the handled of the rolling pin with a little ink to create the slightly darker color. For the measuring cup set I inked the cups with Tea Rose Wendy Vecchi Archival Ink, added the coordinating Tea Rose Embossing Powder, tapped off the excess and heat set.  I added Polar White Flower Soft to the top of each measuring cup.

I pinned the Silverware Charm in Antique Silver onto the Rectangle Burlap Mini Shape and then adhered the 7gypsies Vintage Recipe Cards to the burlap.  I then added the Brown Rhinestones Swirls Finesse and a couple Light Green Rhinestones onto the recipe card.  For the measuring spoons from the Cooking Chipboard Embellishment Set, I added Inkssentials Emboss It in Clear, then sprinkled on Silver Ranger Embossing Powder, tapped off the excess and heat set it.  I added some White Pearls Swirls Finesse, cutting to fit as needed.

Finally for the whisk and rubber spatula handles I inked them with Sky Blue Wendy Vecchi Archival Ink, added the coordinating embossing powder in Sky Blue, tapped off the excess and heat set it.  For the rubber spatula head I inked it Clear Inkssentials Emboss It, sprinkled on Wow Embossing Powder Opaque Bright White Regular, tapped off the excess and heat set.  For the whisk I added Inkssentials Emboss It in Clear, then sprinkled on Silver Ranger Embossing Powder, tapped off the excess and heat set it. 

Heat embossing the chipboard embellishments can really add some nice color to the chipboard and these cooking utensils would work wonderful on cooking themed layouts.  Have a great day!

Christmas Ornaments from Want2Scrap

Merry Christmas!  Today I am sharing my Christmas Ornament Set featuring the Ornaments Small Round 2" 4 Pack of Chipboard Shapes from Want2Scrap.  I decorated the ornaments using design paper from the Echo Park's The Story of Christmas 6" x 6" Paper Pad. The Spellbinders Classic Circles SM Die coordinates perfectly with these ornaments, making it really quick to cut out the design paper to cover these ornaments.

First, I painted the Small Round Chipboard Ornaments with a thin coat of Gesso.  Then on the top of each ornament I inked each with Tsukineko Brilliance Pigment Ink in Galaxy Gold, added Wow Embossing Powder/Glitter in NuBean Sparkle, tapped off the excess and heat set it each one.  Using a sponge dauber ink the edges of two of the Chipboard Ornaments with Northern Pine Memento Ink and ink the other two Chipboard Ornaments with Desert Sand Memento Ink.  Adhere the darker design paper that has been die cut with the coordinating Spellbinder Circles SM using Zip Dry Glue to the Chipboard Ornaments that have been inked with the Northern Pine Ink and adhere the lighter design paper die cuts to the ornaments that have been inked with the Desert Sand Ink.  Now that the design paper has been adhered sponge the edge of each ornament with the coordinating inks, to add a finished look to each ornament.

I decorated these ornaments using Red Pearls Baby Bling, the Red Sleek Strips 6" Rhinestones and the Dark Green Sleek Strips 6" Rhinestones, cutting the Sleek Strips apart as needed.

I decorated these ornaments using LeCreme Pearls Baby Bling and the small rhinestones from the 72 Count - Amber Rhinestones set.  Finally, I added White Seam Binding creating a loop to hang each ornament.

This project would be a great craft project for a 4-H Club, a Girl Scout Troop or a ladies group.  Have a great day!

Ice Cream Sundae with Want2Scrap

Today I am sharing my Ice Cream Sundae Card featuring Want2Scrap Sleek Strips Rhinestones in Red and Want2Scrap Sleek Strips Rhinestones in Black. The design paper is from Heartfelt Creations Young At Heart Collection and the stamp and coordinating die is from Heartfelt Creations Berry Delicious Cling Stamp Set its coordinating Berry Cafe Die,

I die cut the the design paper using Spellbinders and sponged the edges of the blue design paper with Teal Zeal Ink.  I then adhered the design paper using pop dots and adhesive as needed.  I stamped the sundae image on white card stock with Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it with Copics.  I added Ensalada Glitter to the green stem and leaves and Pompeii Glitter to the ice cream sundae glass.  I adhered the sundae using pop dots to the center of the card front.  I adhered the sentiment as shown.  I added the Black and Red Sleek Strip Rhinestones to the design paper, as shown.  I also cut one red and one black rhinestone from each of the Sleek Strips and adhered it to the sentiment. Finally,  I finished by adhering a large Black Pearl and a large Red Pearl to the upper left hand corner.

Decorated Fence Card For My Friend

Today I am sharing my Decorated Fence Card that I created using the Wildwood Cottage Collection.

Instructions: Create a 6" x 6" card base out of the Navy on Ivory Cardstock.  Cut the 6" x 6" card front from the Wildwood Cottage Paper and die cut the center using the coordinating Cut Mat Create 2A Die and sponge edges of die cut image with Sweet Plum Ink.  Matte image on design paper that has been die cut with Spellbinders 6 x 6 Matting Basics B die and sponge edges with Elderberry Ink.   Using Rich Cocoa Ink stamp "Friend" sentiment from Encourage You Stamp Set on die cut image, as shown. Sponge outside of 6" x 6" card front with Blue Iris Ink and adhere to card base.  Adhere die cut and matted center to card front using pop dots.   On White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Ink stamp fence and floral image from Wildwood Cottage Accents Set, stamp the small petals and a set of small leaves from the Wildwood Florals Set and on Cryogen White Paper stamp the bird from the Woodsy Critter Set.  Die cut all using their coordinating dies.  Color the flowers using a sponge dauber with Victorian Velvet Ink and add Cantaloupe Ink to the centers using a Fantastix.  Color the leaves with a sponge dauber with Pistachio Ink and add Olive Grove Ink to the stems and centers of leaves with a Fantastix.  Sponge the edges of the fence with Gray Whale Ink.  Color the bird with Copics and add Toffee Flower Soft to the bird's belly with Dries Clear Adhesive. Shape the fence, flowers, leaves and bird with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Tools.  Adhere all to the card front as shown using Dries Clear Adhesive and pop dots, cutting floral spray and leaves as needed.  With Dries Clear Adhesive add Crystal Glitter to the fence, birds, flowers, leaves and birdhouse.  Add Yellow Stickles to the flower centers and to the beaks of the birds.

Using Stack and Store Daubers, Fantastix and the Dove Blender Pen as needed, color the cardinal with Rhubarb Stalk, Lady Bug and Love Letters Memento Inks, the branches with Bamboo Leaves Memento Ink, the berries with Love Letters and Lady Bug Memento Inks and the leaves with New Sprout and Bamboo Leaves Memento Inks.  Shape cardinal and holly branches with the Deluxe Flower Shaping tools, cut apart and adhere to card front as shown with Dries Clear Adhesive and pop dots. With Dries Clear Adhesive add Mantis Glitter to the leaves.  Add Yellow Stickles to the cardinals beaks and adhere the Green and Red Rhinestones as shown.

I created my Snowy Branches Cardinal Card featuring the beautiful Festive Holiday Die.

I used the branches from the cardinal image in the  Holly Berry Jingle Cling Stamp Set to add more branches to the image on the design paper.  Rajni Chawla's Crystal Clear used with the Dries White Glue creates a nice snowy affect on the branches.

Instructions:  Begin by creating an A2 sized card out of White Cardstock.  Next cut an A2 card front from the Festive Holly Paper Collection and die cut the center image using the coordinating Spellbinders Circles Die.  Adhere A2 Card Front directly to the white card base with Dries Clear Adhesive.  Die cut White Cardstock with the Festive Holiday Die and cut diecut in half.  Adhere the top part of Festive Holiday diecut to the top of the circular opening on the card front and adhere the bottom of the die cut to the bottom of the circular opening on the card front.  Then using pop dots adhere the circle diecut image to the center of the card front as shown.  With Tuxedo Black Ink on White Cardstock stamp the cardinal image from the Holly Berry Jingle Bell Stamp Set and die cut with the coordinating die.  Cut off all the berry branches on the left side of the cardinal die cut image and also at least one of the small branches on the right side of the cardinals.  Using Fantastix and the Dove Blender Pen as needed, color the branches with Rich Cocoa Memento Ink, the berries with Love Letters and Lady Bug Memento Inks and the leaves with New Sprout and Bamboo Leaves Memento Inks.  Shape branches with the Deluxe Flower Shaping tools and adhere to card front as shown with Dries Clear Adhesive. With Dries Clear Adhesive add Mantis Glitter to the leaves and with Dries White Glue add Rajni Chawla's Crystal Clear Glitter to the branches and berries as desired to create snow.  Add Yellow Stickles to the cardinals beaks and adhere the Silver and Red Rhinestones as shown.

Instructions:  Begin by creating a A2 card out of White Cardstock.  Next cut an A2 card front from the Classic Wedding Paper Collection and die cut the center using the Spellbinders Classic Circles Die.  Sponge edge of Classic Wedding card front with Olive Grove Memento Ink and then adhere to the card base with pop dots.  Flip over the die cut circle so that the silver foil paper side is showing and adhere die cut circle directly to the card base with Dries Clear Adhesive.  Sponge edge of sentiment with Gray Whale Chalk Ink and adhere to card as shown with pop dots. On White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Ink stamp the rose petals using the Classic Rose Cling Stamp Set, stamp the bell image from the Wedding Bells Stamp Set and stamp the ring from the Classic Wedding Roses Cling Stamp Set.  Die cut all with coordinating dies. Using Stack and Store Daubers, Fantastix and Tombow Blender as needed, color leaves on the bell with Olive Grove and Pistachio Memento Ink and then add Pearlescent Olive Brilliance Ink.  Using Stack and Store Daubers, Fantastix and Tombow Blender as needed, color the rose on the bell and the rose petals with Pink Grapefruit VersaMagic Chalk Ink and then add Pearlescent Rust Brilliance Ink to the centers of the petals.  Color the ribbon with Cantaloupe Memento Ink.  Add Gray Whale Chalk Ink to the bell and wedding ring for shading and using the Tombow Blender add Starlite Silver Brilliance Ink to the accents on the wedding ring and bell. Shape ring, bell image and roses petals with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.  Adhere all to card with Dries Clear Adhesive and pop dots as needed.  With Dries Clear Adhesive add Salmon Glitter to the die cut roses and to the roses on the bell, add Angel Dust Glitter to the ring and bell and add R2 Holographic Silver Glitter to the diamond on the ring and to the bell, as desired.  Finally, adhere the Gray Pearl and White Pearl to the upper left hand corner of the card front, as shown.

Instructions:  Begin by creating an 6" X 6" card out of White Cardstock.  Next cut a 6" x 6" card front from the Classic Wedding Paper Collection and die cut the center using the Spellbinders Classic Circles Die.  Sponge edge of Classic Wedding card front with Gray Whale Ink and then adhere to the card base with pop dots.  Adhere die cut circle directly to the card base with Dries Clear Adhesive. Die cut white cardstock using the die from the Decorative Medallion Die and lightly sponge die cut with Pink Grapefruit Ink and then with Dries Clear Adhesive and the Fine Metal Tip add Antique White Glitter to the die cut.  Adhere Decorative Medallion die cut to the card as shown with Dries Clear Adhesive.  Add Peach Glitter Washi Tape and the Silver Rhinestone Strip to the side of die cut, cutting to fit as necessary.  Adhere a Silver Rhinestone in the upper right hand corner of the card as shown.  On White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Ink stamp the rose petals using the Classic Rose Cling Stamp Set, stamp the leaf image from the Classic Rose Vines Stamp Set, stamp the large heart shaped rose bouquet image from the Classic Wedding Rose Stamp Set and stamp the dove from the Flowering Dogwood and Doves Stamp Set. Die cut all with coordinating dies. Using Stack and Store Daubers color leaves with Olive Grove and Pistachio Memento Ink and then add Pearlescent Olive Brilliance Ink.  Using Stack and Store Daubers color the rose petals with Pink Grapefruit VersaMagic Chalk Ink and then add Pearlescent Rust Brilliance Ink to the centers of the petals.  Color the dove with Platinum Planet and Starlite Silver Brilliance Ink and using a Fantastix add Dandelion Memento Ink to the dove's beak and feet.  Using the same ink colors for the roses and leaves, color the large heart shaped rose bouquet. Shape leaves, roses, heart shaped bouquet and dove with Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.  Cut the large heart shaped rose bouquet as needed (saving other pieces to use on other cards) and assemble all as shown.  Adhere all to card with Dries Clear Adhesive and pop dots as needed.  With Dries Clear Adhesive add Salmon Glitter to the die cut roses and to the roses on the design paper, add Angel Dust Glitter to the dove and add Minnie Pearl Prills to the baby's breath on the die cut image and design paper.
