Gone Fishin' with Want2Scrap

I created a layout using the Want2Scrap Gone Fishin' - 6 x 6 Overlay. This is part of an album using 6 x 6 Overlays in a Want2Scrap 8 x 8 Square Chipboard Album that I am making for my daughter Johnna.  This is a picture when she was very young proudly showing off a fish she had caught on one of our many camping trips.

I covered the page of the 8 x 8 Square Chipboard Album using design paper from Heartfelt Creations Woodsy Wonderland Paper Collection adhering it with Zip Dry Glue.  I then used Copics and Ranger Stickles to add a little color and sparkle to the bobber, water, lure and fish on the Gone Fishin' 6 x 6 Overlay, before adding my picture and adhering it to the page.  In the upper right hand corner I added a Sage Green Pearl and a couple Gun Metal Pearls.

With a craft sponge I added VivaDecor 3D Stamp Paint in Silver, Green, Walnut Brown and Copper to the sign, canoe and oars chipboard from the Camping Chipboard Embellishment Pack and the tree from the Pine Tree Chipboard Embellishment pack.  I then adhered all the chipboard embellishments as shown to the page using Zip Dry Glue and Pop Dot Adhesive Double Sided Glue Dots, as needed.

Christmas Ornaments from Want2Scrap

Merry Christmas!  Today I am sharing my Christmas Ornament Set featuring the Ornaments Small Round 2" 4 Pack of Chipboard Shapes from Want2Scrap.  I decorated the ornaments using design paper from the Echo Park's The Story of Christmas 6" x 6" Paper Pad. The Spellbinders Classic Circles SM Die coordinates perfectly with these ornaments, making it really quick to cut out the design paper to cover these ornaments.

First, I painted the Small Round Chipboard Ornaments with a thin coat of Gesso.  Then on the top of each ornament I inked each with Tsukineko Brilliance Pigment Ink in Galaxy Gold, added Wow Embossing Powder/Glitter in NuBean Sparkle, tapped off the excess and heat set it each one.  Using a sponge dauber ink the edges of two of the Chipboard Ornaments with Northern Pine Memento Ink and ink the other two Chipboard Ornaments with Desert Sand Memento Ink.  Adhere the darker design paper that has been die cut with the coordinating Spellbinder Circles SM using Zip Dry Glue to the Chipboard Ornaments that have been inked with the Northern Pine Ink and adhere the lighter design paper die cuts to the ornaments that have been inked with the Desert Sand Ink.  Now that the design paper has been adhered sponge the edge of each ornament with the coordinating inks, to add a finished look to each ornament.

I decorated these ornaments using Red Pearls Baby Bling, the Red Sleek Strips 6" Rhinestones and the Dark Green Sleek Strips 6" Rhinestones, cutting the Sleek Strips apart as needed.

I decorated these ornaments using LeCreme Pearls Baby Bling and the small rhinestones from the 72 Count - Amber Rhinestones set.  Finally, I added White Seam Binding creating a loop to hang each ornament.

This project would be a great craft project for a 4-H Club, a Girl Scout Troop or a ladies group.  Have a great day!

Want2Scrap Band 6x6 Overlay

Both of our daughters were very involved in our high school marching band program, which is very competitive in our State, so for a total of eight years my husband and I also volunteered with the program.  My youngest daughter graduated from high school last year so I am starting to make a memory album using 6 x 6 Overlays in Want2Scrap's 8 x 8 Square Chipboard Album. Today I am sharing some inspiration using Want2Scrap's Band - 6 x 6 Overlay.   I adhered the design paper from Scrapbook Customs with Zip Dry.

I cut my pictures to fit and then adhered it with Art Glitter Dries Clear Adhesive.  Then also with the Dries Clear Adhesive with a fine metal tip I added some Pompeii Glitter to the instruments on the Band Overlay.

At the top of the layout I adhered the Bella Bling Brackets and added several Royal Blue Pearls.
