Ocean Treasures Card with Want2Scrap Pearls

Today I am sharing my Ocean Treasures Card featuring Want2Scrap's 72 Count - White Pearls and 72 Count - Lavender Pearls.  The design paper is from Heartfelt Creations Under the Sea Paper Collection.

I die cut the seashell images from the design paper using the seashell dies from Heartfelt Creations Tropical Hibiscus Die and added Art Glitter Ultrafine Transparent Glitter in Crystal and Art Glitter Chunky Opaque Hologram Glitter in Jet Eye for some extra sparkle.  I adhered a medium pearl to the clam shell from the 72 Count - White Pearls.

I die cut the fish from the design paper using the coordinating die from Heartfelt Creations Under the Sea Die set and adhered it to the card front with pop dots.  Finally, I adhered a large pearl from the 72 Count - Lavender Pearls to the card front.

Want2Scrap 72 Count Pearls are the perfect accents to cards! Have a great day!

My Anchor Card with Heartfelt Creations

Hi Everyone! Today Heartfelt Creations is pleased to release its Everyday Heroes Collection! This is what Heartfelt Creation's has to say about its newest release:

"Do you have an unsung hero in your life? Your champion may never have a medal pinned to his or her chest, but you can demonstrate your gratitude with the Everyday Heroes Collection from Heartfelt Creations. These epic stamps, dies and papers salute the extraordinary "ordinary people" who inspire us as they live their daily lives with honor and integrity. Greys, teals, khakis, creams and browns have been blended with distressed newsprint, vintage maps, globes, sailing ships, timepieces, combat boots, stripes, dots and flourishes to create a rugged, paper collection that is timeless in its appeal. Six deeply etched cling stamp sets featuring detailed collages, inspiring sentiments and unique circular elements mesh perfectly with the paper collection and matching set of dies. Let's sing the praises of the unsung heroes in our lives with the Everyday Heroes Collection from Heartfelt Creations!"

The card I made this week features the beautiful HCPC 3662 - My Anchor Cling Stamp Set and used the coordinating HCD1-761 Everyday Hero Die to die cut the anchor. I also used the gorgeous HCDP1-253 Everyday Hero Paper Collection.

I colored the image with Copics and used the HCPC 3596 Celebrate the Journey Sentiments Cling Stamp Set and coordinating HCD1-744 Once Upon a Time Die to create the compass.

Graphic 45 and Want2Scrap Beach Themed Album

I am excited to share with you today a mini album I made featuring Want2Scrap's Shifting Gears by Candy Rosenberg - Mixed Media Album. I added the Shifting Gears Small Chipboard Embellishment and of course lots of Want2Scrap Bling!  For the title I added the Memories - Fancy Chipboard Word.  I painted all the chipboard with DecoArt products.

I used the Graphic 45 By the Sea Collection  to create this beach themed album with my photos from a trip my family took to Florida.

On the first corrugated page I die cut yellow Bazzill cardstock with the Spellbinders Grand Decorative Labels One and the Graphic 45® By the Sea 8 x 8 Paper Collection with Spellbinders Grand Decorative Labels One to create the page base.  I used scrabble tiles from a thrift store purchase to create the title and buttons from my stash.  I added a couple Silver/Clear Rhinestones to the "Gather Seashells" image and finished the page by adding Brackets Fancy - Silver Rhinestones LRG Pair - Self Adhesive to the bottom of the page.  I also used a seashell sticker from Paper House Beach Comber 3D Stickers.

On this page for the background I die cut the design paper with the Spellbinders Grand Circles and Spellbinders Grand Decorative Circles One.  I matted the photo of my daughter on a Spellbinders Lacey Squares. I used some tags and pockets from Graphic 45® By The Sea Tags & Pockets and the title and starfish sticker are from Paper House Beach Comber 3D Stickers.   I added Swirls Finesse - Silver Rhinestones along the side of the photo by the title and also on the pocket/tag.  Also, I added a few buttons from my stash.

On the next couple pages I used 72 Count - Baby Blue Rhinestone and Swirls - White Pearls - Package of 2 - 4" x 4" to embellish the pages.  I embellished a Tim Holtz Pocket Watch and placed inside some Art Glitter Snow Queen Dazzlers along with some of the sharks teeth that we found on our trip to the beach.  This is one of my favorite pictures of my daughter with her Grandpa looking for shells and sharks teeth.

These next two pages are of a fishing trip we took with my in laws in their boat while we were in Florida. On this page I die cut the design paper with Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Rectangles and cut a coordinating rectangle.  Again I used a sticker from the Paper House Beach Comber 3D Stickers and Graphic 45® By The Sea Tags & Pockets. I also used some canvas and twine to add to the nautical look. I finished the page by adding some Red RhinestonesLeCreme Pearls and  Swirls Finesse - LeCreme Pearls,

On my final page, I distressed the canvas page with Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Ink.  I then die cut the paper using Spellbinders Grand CirclesSpellbinders Grand Scalloped Circles and Heartfelt Creations HCD 733 - Decorative Lattice Swirl Die.  I added Clouds by Nina Bracket - Card Sized and Fences by Nina Bracket - Card SizedGraphic 45® By the Sea Chipboard elements, Paper House Beach Comber 3D Stickers72 Count - LeCreme Pearls - Self Adhesive and Swirls Finesse - LeCreme Pearls.

Have a great day!

HC CARDS & WALLHANGING

Good morning!  It's Wednesday and time for me to show you some more projects I created for Heartfelt Creations.  First, I need to tell you that unfortunately this will be my last official post as a HC Design Team member my term ends on April 30th.  The new Design Team will be announced on the HC Blog next Wednesday, May 1st.  I just want to say that I have enjoyed every minute of being on the HC Design Team for the last 1 1/2 years.  It has been an amazing journey!

I only started stamping and coloring with Copics 2 1/2 years ago when a small scrapbook store, More Memories, opened in my home town.  I started taking some card and coloring classes at the store and I never knew that would lead me to starting a blog, being on a Design Team, having my work published sixteen times and my work on display at CHA and other industry trade shows.  I have met so many amazing people in real life and in blogland.  It has turned out to truly be a blessing in my life and just what I needed, when I needed it.  God is truly amazing!

I am a stay-at-home wife and mother and my girls are teenagers now.  They do not require as much day to day care as when they were little, but I still want to be at home and be available for their after school talks and to help with their activities. I also need to help take care of my parents, who have a lot of health problems and I serve on the funeral dinner committee at church, which I have done for eight years.  Designing is a hobby/job that I can do where I am still at home and  I can work around my family obligations. It also helps support my craft habit (which we all know can be expensive)! My husband is a corporate pilot and travels and so I also want to be home when he is home and I need a hobby to fill my time when he is gone.  Designing cards and coloring with Copics is my outlet, it is something I do for me, but yet I can still fulfill my responsibilities as a wife, mother, daughter, friend and sister-in-Christ like I want and need to.

I want to thank Emma Lou and Linda for giving me the opportunity to be on the HC Design Team.  It has been a great experience and I truly love all of the HC products.  It has been very easy to design for HC because their stamps, dies and papers are so beautiful and fit my style perfectly.  I am going to participate in the Heartfelt Creations Alumni Blog Hops on the last Tuesday of the Month.  I also am going to make card samples for the stamping and scrapbooking store, More Memories and I am going to start teaching card classes there as well.  I will be sharing the cards I create for the store and the classes here on my blog.

Sorry for such a long, wordy post today.  Hopefully, I didn't get too sentimental.  Now on to the cards and wall hanging I made this week for Heartfelt Creations.  On  the Lighthouse Step Card I made this week, again I used seashells that I found on Lido Beach from our family vacation to Sarasota, Florida a few weeks ago.
