HC BALMY BREEZE RECAP - APRIL 17, 2013

Hi everyone!  I am back this week to share three more cards I made with Heartfelt Creations new Balmy Breeze Collection.  I had so much inspiration for this new set since I just spent a week with my family during Spring Break in Sarasota, Florida.  I even used some of the small shells I collected while on vacation on my  Beach Scene Card.  I hope you enjoy all my cards this week because I had so much fun creating them.

Instructions:

5" x 7" Card

Begin with a 10" x 7" piece of brown cardstock and score on the 2 1/2" and 7 1/2" marks. Next cut two piece of the shell paper from the Balmy Breeze Paper to 2 1/4" x 7 1/4" and adhere with Zip Dry Glue to each side of card front. Then with Memento Ink on Cryogen White Paper stamp lighthouse image from High Seas Set and then die cut with Labels 4. Color with Copics and add Raspberry Fizz Flower Soft to flowers in image. Matte on blue-green cardstock die cut with coordinating Labels 4 die. Add Prince Candi with pop dots. Then adhere left half to left half of upper card front. Next with Memento Ink on Cryogen White Paper stamp shells image from Sand and Sea Set and then die cut with Classic Rectangle. Color with Copics and then with Dries Clear Glue add Crystal Glitter and Sand Flower Soft. Matte on blue-green cardstock die cut with coordinating Classic Scalloped Rectangle. Then adhere right half on right half of lower card front to finish gatefold card.

Instructions:

5" x 7" Card

Begin with a 10" x 7" piece of aqua cardstock and score on the 5" mark to create a 5" x 7" card base. Next cut a 4 3/4" x 6 3/4" piece of Balmy Breeze Paper and wrap twine around it several times before adhering to card base. With Memento Ink on Cryogen White Paper die cut with Curved Rectangles stamp beach chair from Seascape Set, palm tree from Surfs Up Set and seagulls from Sand and Sea Set to create a beach scene. Color with Copics. On another piece of Cryogen White Paper stamp the beach chair from the Seascape Set again and color only the beach chair and then detail cut out and with pop dots adhere on top of beach chair in scene to create 3D effect. With Dries Clear Glue add Lichen Glitter to palm tree and Crystal Glitter to sand. With Dries Clear Glue adhere small seashells on beach. Matte entire scene on green cardstock die cut with Spellbinders Curved Rectangles. Add Candi with pop dots to upper right of card front. On Cryogen White Paper stamp "Have a" and "wonderful birthday" from Beautiful You Set with VersaFine Ink. Die cut with tags die from Decorative Flower Pot Die. Distress edges with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and then spray with Iridescent Spay & Sparkle spray glitter. Attach tags with peach Jillibean Twine to twine on card front. Also attach "Cherish" Trinket with May Arts Ribbon.

Instructions:
4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Card
Begin with a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of brown cardstock and score on the 4 1/4" mark to create an A2 card base. Next adhere a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of the Balmy Breeze Paper to the card front. Add Platinum Stickles to seashells and Sand Flower Soft with Dries Clear Glue to sand in picture on cardstock. On brown cardstock die cut with Classic Rectangles SM Spellbinders with Watermark Ink stamp large anchor from Seascape Set. Matte on peach cardstock die cut with Classic Rectangles LG Spellbinders and then matte on Balmy Breeze Paper die cut with Classic Rectangles SM. Add Safari Dewdrops to corners and add to card front with pop dots. With VersaFine Ink stamp "the Joy . . . " on Balmy Breeze Paper die cut with Classic Square LG die. Add Safari Dew drops with Dries Clear Glue. Make two small holes on top of square and thread twine though, finishing with a bow. Adhere to card in upper right hand corner.

HC BALMY BREEZE COLLECTION - APRIL 10, 2013

Heartfelt Creations is absolutely delighted to bring you the Balmy Breeze Collection. Old world vintage has been combined with tranquil seaside scenes (including a rustic compass, beach chair, fantastic surf, beaming lighthouses) and the Balmy Breeze paper pack, composed of a neutral color palette of peach and mint hues. This set is perfect for the crafter that loves creating vintage projects or for the stamper looking to create a project for her favorite man.

The first card I made this week features this beautiful lighthouse I colored with Copics.  I created an easel card with the compass image adhered with pop dots on the base of the card to make the easel stand up.

Here is a closeup of the colored image.  I added Art Glitter - Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter to the beach to make the sand "sparkle".

 

The next project I made is a cute mini tag with envelope.  I used May Arts Twisted Burlap Cord for the strings and added the die cut anchors from  Heartfelt Creations HCD 733 - Decorative Lattice Swirl Die to the end of the cords with a knot.

And my final project for the week is a fancy fold card featuring a sailboat stamped with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Ink.  This card would be perfect for the man in your life!

Begin with a 8 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece of Bazzil cardstock and score on the 4 1/4" and 6 3/8" mark to create your easel base.  Next cut a 4 1/4" square piece of Bazzil cardstock and adhere to 2 1/8" x 4 1/4" section of easel base with Scor-Tape to create your easel card front.  Then adhere a 4" square piece of Balmy Breezes Paper to easel card front.  On Cryogen White paper die cut with Classic Squares LG with Memento Ink stamp lighthouse image from Sand and Sea and color with Copics.  Matte on Bazzill cardstock die cut with Lacy Squares Spellbinder.  Adhere with Double Dots to card front.  on card base adhere 4" square piece of coordinating Balmy Breezes paper.  Then on Cryogen White Paper with Memento Ink stamp compass from Surfs Up Set and color with Copics.  Distress with Antique Linen Distress Ink.  Detail cut out and adhere to Fleur De Lis Doily Motifs die cut and adhere to card base with Double Dots.

Begin by tracing around tag and envelop with Balmy Breezes Paper and then cutting to fit.  Next adhere paper to tag and envelop with Zip Dry Paper Glue.  For envelop with VersaFine Ink stamp "Have . . . beautiful day" from Beautiful You Set on Balmy Breezes Paper die cut with Petite Scalloped Ovals SM Spellbinder.  Adhere to envelop.  Add Dew Drops with 3-D Crystal Lacquer and self adhesive Crystal Champagne Flourishes.  For tag with Memento Ink on Cryogen White Paper die cut with Classic Rectangles LG Spellbinder stamp seashell image from Seascape Set and color with Copics.  Add Crystal Glitter with Dries Clear Glue to image and then adhere to tag.  Add cord to hole in tag.  On Cryogen White Paper with Memento Ink stamp four anchors from Seascape Set and color with Copics.  Die cut with Decorative Lattice Swirl Die.  Adhere together with Dries Clear Glue to create two double sided anchors.  Add to end of cord and finish end with a knot.

" sentiment from Heartfelt Expressions Set.  On Cryogen White Paper die cut with Classic Rectangles SM with Walnut Stain Ink stamp sailboat from High Seas Set.  Distress edges with Angique Linen Distress Ink and adhere to card front.  With Walnut Stain Ink on Cryogen White Paper stamp ship's wheel from Surfs Up Set and then detail cut out.  Distress with Antique Linen Distress Ink and then adhere to card front with pop dot on upper left corner.  Tuck corner of peach cardstock base behind ship's wheel to keep card closed.
 

 

HC DISTRESSED VINTAGE LAYOUT - APRIL 3, 2013

Today I have another 12" x 12" vintage layout to share with you.  I just love this picture of this beautiful woman that I found at the antique mall! It goes perfect with  Heartfelt Creations Countryside Evening Paper Collection.  To make the page look even more vintage I heavily distressted the edges and inked them with Tim Holtz Old Paper Distress Ink, making sure to fold back the edges to reveal the mauve paper from Heartfelt Creations Frosty Blanket Paper Collection.  That is definately one thing I love about all the HC paper.  It all coordinates and compliments each other so well that you will find it so easy to mix and match collections.

Begin by heavily distressing edges of a piece of HC Countryside Evening Paper with the Tim Holtz Paper Distressor tool and then distressing with Old Paper Distress Ink. Adhere entire sheet to a piece of HC Frosty Blanket Paper making sure that the edges are visible. Next with Espresso Truffle Ink stamp Petite Florsl Swirls in upper corners and bottom right corner. Out of cream Bazzill cardstock die cut large Decorative Blossom Corner and spray with Gold Spray & Sparkle. Adhere to page with Dries Clear Glue and add Cameo Sparklet to center of blossom. Die cut photo using Oval Grand Nestabilities and matte on Countryside Evening Paper die cut with Grand Decorative Ovals One. Adhere to page. Out of brown cardstock die cut and emboss large bird from Bird Sanctuary and out of navy cardstock die cut and emboss large birdcage from Bird Sanctuary. Add Zva rhinestones to birdcage. Adhere bird and birdcage to page with pop dots. Above birdcage with Walnut Stain Distress Ink stamp "You are the song . . . " sentiment from Melodious Songbird Set. Add Finesse Swirls Pearls. Cut out "You inspire me" sentiment from Countryside Evening Paper and matte on Frosty Blanket Paper. Adhere to upper left corner of layout with pop dots.

HEARTFELT CREATIONS - MARCH 27, 2013

I hope everyone is having a good week!  I am so ready for Spring so this week I made a butterfly door hanger for my project for Heartfelt Creations.  I just bought a plain light colored wood door hanger at Wal-Mart and painted it with Viva Decor Walnut Brown Stamp Paint.  This was the first time I had used this product and I loved it.  It dries really quick to a beautiful metallic sparkle.  I embossed the "Life is Good" sentiment with Wow Embossing Glitter and I stamped the Heartfelt Creations butterfly and flower images on Cryogen White Paper, colored them with Copics and then detail cut them out and adhered them with Dries Clear Glue.  Really the picture here does not do this project justice!

 

LIFE IS GOOD DOOR HANGER

This isn't a very good quality picture, but this is how it looks hanging on the door.  Definitely adds a Spring look to the house!

 3.4" x 9.6" Door Hanger

Begin by painting the wooden door hanger using a sponge dauber with brown metallic stamp paint on the front and back.  With Memento Ink on Cryogen White Paper stamp Butterfly image from Butterfly and Bunny Set, stamp flowers from Feathered Friends Set, stamp coordinating butterfly from Delicate Asters and Butterflies Set, and stamp 3 small florets from the Vintage Floret Set.  Color all with Copics.  Die cut butterfly and vintage florets with appropriate dies and detail cut with scissors other images.  Adhere with Dries Clear Glue to door hanger.  Add glitter to both butterflies' wings and adhere second butterfly at body only and bend wings up slightly for 3D effect.  Add 1 vintage floret to butterfly image and 2 florets to floral image at bottom of door hanger.  Add Tailings Elements with Dries Clear Glue to flower centers.  With Embossing Ink stamp "Life is Good" sentiment from Lilac/Posy Bouquet Set on center of door hanger and add Angel Wings Embossing Glitter.  Heat Set.  Add Dewdrops to upper right corner with Dries Clear Glue.  Make a bow and finish with a Pearl Brad in the center.  Adhere bow to door hanger with Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.

 

HEARTFELT CREATIONS - March 20, 2013

Today I have a sweet card that I made for Heartfelt Creations that would be great to send to a special couple for their Anniversary.  When I saw this stamp of the swans in the HCPC 3523 - Feathered Friends PreCut Set , I thought it would look perfect in the heart shaped die cut from Heartfelt Creations HCD 728 - Timeless Amour Die.  I finished the card by adding May Arts Ribbon and Twinkle Goosebumps from Queen & Co. for embellishments!

Begin with a 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of aqua Bazzill cardstock and score on the 4 1/4" mark to create an A2 card base.  Next adhere a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Vintage Floret Paper.  Wrap ribbon around center of card securing with Scor-Tape.  Then with Memento Ink on Cryogen White Paper stamp swan image from Feathered Friends Set and color with Copics.  Die cut with Timeless Amour Die.  Then die cut heart out of brown Bazzill cardstock with Timeless Amour Die and use outside frame to frame swan image.  Adhere to card front with Dries Clear Glue.  Add Crystal Glitter with Dries Clear Glue to swans' tails.  On brown cardstock with Clear Gloss Embossing Powder heat emboss "To a Special Couple" sentiment from Bella Rosebuds Set.  Matte on aqua cardstock and adhere to card front with pop dots.  Add Twinkle Goosebumps to corners of card front.

VINTAGE BIRD & BUTTERFLY LAYOUT

The card I created this week features this cute little bunny from the new Butterfly & Bunny PreCut Set.  I matted the bunny on Heartfelt Creations Layered Scalloped Posy Die and embellished the flowers on the HC Posy Patch Paper with Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam and Want2Scrap Pearls.

Instructions:

12" x 12" layout

Begin with a sheet of HC Posy Patch Paper and the coordinating tag and add Black Diamond Stickles to all flower centers on page and with Dries Clear Glue and Metal Fine Tip add light green glitter from Antique Rose Pee Wee Kit to all leaves on page.  When dry matte tag on plum metallic cardstock and adhere to page with pop dots.  Then stamp small swirls from Posy Patch Swirls Set in upper right corner and in center of page with Forrest Moss Distress Ink.  On Cryogen White Paper with Espresso Truffle Ink stamp 8 of the smallest and 4 of the next smallest posies from the Posy Patch Flowers Set and color with Copics.  With Dries Clear Glue adhere posies to Posy Patch Swirls on page and add Black Diamond Stickles to Posy centers.  Out of green metallic cardstock die cut Romantic Rectangle and Grand Decorative Ovals One.  Cut pictures and adhere to page with appropriate Spellbinders shape.  Out of gold metallic cardstock die cut hanger for birdcage from Decorative Metals Fixtures Die and out of plum metallic cardstock die cut and emboss small birdcage from Bird Sanctuary.  Adhere to page with Dries Clear Glue.  On Cryogen White Paper with Espresso Truffle Ink stamp butterfly from Delicate Asters & Butterflies Set and color with Copics.  Die cut with Les Papillions.  Adhere to page with pop dots and add Frost Smooch Glitz to butterfly wings.  On Cryogen White Paper with Espresso Truffle Ink stamp bird from Feathered Friends Set and one small flower from Open Vintage Floret Set and one small flower from Mini Vintage Floret Set.  Color with Copics.  Detail cut out bird and die cut out flowers using Vintage Floret Die.  Adhere to page as shown with Dries Clear Glue.  Add Pink Fizz Smooch Glitz to flower center and light green glitter from Antique Rose Pee Wee Kit to leaves.  With Dries Clear Glue add Dew Drops to Center of bird cage and by tag on upper middle of page.

Instructions:

6" x 6" Card

Begin with a 12" x 6" piece of peach Bazzill cardstock and score on the 6" mark to create a 6" square card base.  Next take a 5 3/4" square piece of HC Posy Patch Paper and paint Twinkle Toes Glimmer Glam on the flowers on the design paper.  Then out of peach Bazzill cardstock die cut the Decorative Posy Topper Large and out of green Bazzill cardstock die cut the Decorative Layered Posy Topper Large from the  Layered Scalloped Posy Die.  Adhere pieces to each other and then to card front with Dries Clear Glue.  Wrap ribbon around center of Layered Scalloped Posy piece and finish with a bow.  Add Platinum Stickles to center of posies on die cut.  On Cryogen White with Memento Ink stamp bunny from Butterfly and Bunny Set and color with Copics.  Add Polar White Flower Soft to bunny's tail.  Add Icicle Glitter to ground under bunny's feet.  Add LeCreme Pearls to flower centers, including flower on stamped image.  Add Candi with pop dots to upper right hand corner.

HEARTFELT CREATIONS - MARCH 6, 2013

We are currently having a snow storm and it sure looks like Spring is a long way away.  Hopefully the layout I have to show you today with the bright colors, butterflies and bees will help remind us that Spring really is just around the corner.

 

A few weeks ago my daughter, Malinda, and I went shopping at local antique stores and found this darling pictures of a 5 year old little boy taken in 1915.  What a perfect picture to make a vintage scrapbook layout with that included butterflies and bees!

Stamp bees from Busy Bee Set on upper middle of page and color with Copics. With Forrest Moss Distress Ink stamp butterfly swirl from Wings of Hope set on left hand side of page and color with Copics. With Espresso Truffle Ink stamp flowers from Antique Essentials set on lower right corner and color with Copics. On entire layout add Clear Rock Candy Stickles to leaves, add Aqua Stickles to flower centers, add Icicle Stickles to butterflies and bees' wings. With Espresso Truffle Memento Ink on Cryogen White Paper stamp 2 small and 1 large butterflies from Brookside Manor Set and color with Copics. Die cut with Garden Romance Die and adhere center with Dries Clear Glue to coordinating butterflies on layout. Add Coffee Bean Brown Sparkly Fluff to centers of butterfly and Icicle Stickles to wings. Next with Espresso Truffle Ink on Cryogen White Paper stamp butterfly from Delicate Asters & Butterflies Set and color with Copics. Die cut with Les Papillions die and adhere center with Dries Clear Glue to coordinating butterfly on layout. Add Coffee Bean Brown Sparkly Fluff to centers of butterfly and Icicle Stickles to wings. Add Coffee Bean Brown Sparkly Fluff to hole in bee hive. Finally matte photo and verse on yellow cardstock and adhere to layout. On verse add Clear Rock Candy Stickles to leaves and Icicle Stickles to butterfly.
