As I told you awhile back, I am Crew Member on the Canvas Corp 2015 Design Team. This month one of our Crew Challenges was to create a Surprise Valentine Card. I created this card for my husband. The reason I think of it as a surprise is because I may be on several design teams and make several cards a week, but I can't remember the last time I made him a Valentine. It may even be about 25 years ago when we were dating back in college, so I think he will be surprised!
I started by using Canvas Home Basics Greeting Card/Envelop (5x7) Kraft for the card base and then adhered a 4 3/4" x 6 3/4" piece of Take Our Breath Away Gypsy Moments Paper.
I then used Heartfelt Creations Timeless Amour Die to die cut a heart out of the the green side of the Take Our Breath Away Gypsy Moments Paper and I used some cream cardstock from the Gypsy Scrap Pack: Vintage Travel to die cut the lattice heart. I then added some Brown Rhinestones, Light Green Rhinestones, Silver Rhinestones - Baby Bling and Brown Rhinestones Swirls Finesse as shown.
Then I took a piece of Express Yourself Gypsy Moments 12 x 12 Paper and cut out the selected words and glued them on a piece of burlap from the Scrap Pack: Vintage Travel to create a personalized message for my husband. I finished the card by wrapping some Chocolate Hemp Rope around the top of the card front and finished it with a bow.
Have a great day!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great card for your husband! Love the way you used the HC heart. I've been working with that myself. It's a great die!
