HEARTFELT CREATIONS - OCTOBER 31, 2012

EXCITING NEWS!  I am happy to tell you that I will be continuing on the Heartfelt Creations Design Team for another six month term.  I truly love designing for HC and am honored to be able to continue working with their wonderful products and the other designers on the team.  In addition to products I truly believe are some of the best on the market, I also have the privilege of working for and with some amazing people.  Linda (HC Owner) and Emma Lou (HC Creative Director) are truly wonderful, caring women and the entire staff of HC are dedicated individuals.  I also look forward to bringing you more of my creations and designs in the coming months.  Thank you to all who voted for me to continue on the team.

It also has been an exciting week in our household since my daughters' marching band, the Fairfield Marching Pride, was 3rd out of 20 bands at Semi-State Competition and they have advanced to the State Marching Band Finals.  On Saturday they will march at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.  Malinda is a senior and Johnna is a Freshman so this will be their last performance together.  It is truly an honor for the band to make it to state and it will be exciting to watch them perform this weekend!

For my Heartfelt Creations project this week I used products from the HC Delicate Asters Collection.  I colored the stamped image with Copics to coordinate with the Delicate Asters Paper Collection, added some Icicle Art Glitter for a little sparkle and finished the card with some gorgeous May Arts Ribbon.

Instructions:
6" x 6" Card
Begin with a 12" x 6" piece of green Bazzill cardstock and score on the 6" mark to create a 6" card base. Next cut a 5 3/4" square piece of Heartfelt Creations Delicate Asters Paper and wrap ribbon around center securing with Scor-Tape. Adhere paper to card front. Then with Memento Ink on Cryogen White paper die cut with Labels Eight stamp asters from Heartfelt Creations Delicate Twining Asters Set. Color with Copics and distress with Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Ink. Then with Dries Clear Glue add Icicle Art Glitter to small flowers and a pearl brad to center of large flower. Matte on green cardstock die cut with Decorative Label Eight and adhere image to card front. Make bow with Bow-Easy finishing ribbon edges with I-magicut Ribbon Cutter and adhere bow to ribbon with 3D Crystal Lacquer.

HEARTFELT CREATIONS - OCTOBER 24, 2012

 

I hope you are having a good week!  It is a busy time of year at our house.  My daughters' high school marching band, The Fairfield Marching Pride, received a gold rating at their Regional Competition in Lafayette, IN,  so this Saturday they will be competing in the Semi-State Competition in Indianapolis.  The top ten out of twenty bands in Class C then will advance to the State Finals next week.  Hopefully, they will be in the top ten so they will qualify to perform at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.  The band has been busy practicing and the parents have been busy helping with props, food and transportation.  Regardless of whether the band advances or not, it is a great accomplishment that they have made it to Semi-State and I am so proud of my girls and the entire band for all their hard work this year!

I have an elegant, but easy tag to share with you today created with Heartfelt Creations stamps.  This would be great to tie on a Birthday gift for a special person.  I used vintage seam binding as the trim and I added green polka dot washi tape for a fun embellishment.

Instructions:

Begin with a piece of Frosty Blanket Paper and trace around the #8 size manila tag.  Cut out and adhere paper to tag and punch a hole in the design paper where the hole on the manila tag is.  With Tuxedo Black Memento Ink stamp larger roses corner from Twining Roses Set on Cryogen White Paper and color with Copics.  Detail cut out roses and add Crystal Glitter with Dries Clear Glue.  With Espresso Truffle Ink stamp small twining roses from Twining Roses Set directly on tag and color with Copics.  Add Crystal Glitter with Dries Clear Glue to roses.  With Espresso Truffle Ink stamp "Happy Birthday . . . " sentiment from Bold Vintage Floret Background Set on tag.  Add green Washi Tape to bottom of tag and then adhere colored rose corner.  Next add self-adhesive White Pearls Swirls, cutting to fit as needed.  Finish by adding vintage seam binding to hole on tag.

 

HEARTFELT CREATIONS VINTAGE FLORET COLLECTION

Good morning!  Today is my Mom's Birthday so she and my dad are coming over for supper tonight.  I am going to surprise her with her favorite dessert pumpkin whoopie pies.  The girls are so busy with marching band practice that they will have about one hour window of time between band practice and youth group at church to celebrate with Grandma, but we will make the most of it!

 

I have two more projects to share with you this week featuring the Heartfelt Creations' beautiful new Design Paper the Vintage Floret Collection.  My first project features another vintage portrait I purchased at the local antique mall.  I hand made all the flowers with the new HC Vintage Floret stamps and dies and also a few with the HC Delicate Asters stamps and dies.  I stamped and die cut them using the HC Vintage Floret Design Paper.

For my second project I cut out the a door from the Vintage Floret Collection Design Paper and added some embellishments to make a quick card for a special someone!

Instructions:
12" x 12" Layout

Begin with a 12" X 12" piece of  HC Vintage Floret Design Paper.  With Frayed Burlap Distress Ink stamp various sizes of Delicate Asters,  Open Vintage Florets and Mini Vintage Florets on Vintage Floret Design Paper and then die cut with Vintage Floret Die and Delicate Asters Die.  Shape petals with Paper Blossoms Tool Kit and Molding Mat.  To create several layers of  petals adhere flower centers with Dries Clear Glue building layers and shaping as desired.  Spray some flowers with Gold Sparkle & Spray.  Add Brown Gala Glitz, Cinnamon Stickles, Self Adhesive Pearls and Gold Pearl Brads to flower centers as desired. Adhere flowers to page with Dries Clear Glue. Out of cream Bazzill cardstock die cut larger Grand Labels Four and out of green Bazzill cardstock die cut large Grand Labels Four.  Matte vintage picture on Grand Labels and then adhere to page.  Cut "The Best . . . " sentiment from HC Vintage Floret Paper and adhere to page and add accents die cut from Spellbinders Moroccan Accents.  Add Self Adhesive Pearls and Embellishments to page as desired.

Add Finesse Swirls Bling, cutting to fit as necessary and add Candi with pop dots to upper right corner. On Cryogen White Paper die cut with Petite Ovals SM with Memento Ink stamp "The door of my . . . " sentiment from Door to My Heart Set and then distress edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink. Matte on blue paper die cut with Petite Scalloped Ovals LG. Attach to card with pop dots. Make bow and add a Pearl Brad to center, adhere to card.

HEARTFELT CREATIONS VINTAGE FLORET COLLECTION

I am excited to share with you Heartfelt Creations new release the Vintage Floret Collection.  The Vintage Floret release is a beautiful collection of ancient luxury. Good morning!  It sure is beginning to look and feel like Fall here in Northern Indiana.  We are also busy with Fall activities, like attending our daughters marching band competitions every Saturday and going to home high school football games to watch them march at the half time show.

Begin with a 6" x 12" piece of Bazzill cardstock and score on the 6" mark to create a 6" square card base.  Next adhere a 5 3/4" square piece of HC Delicate Asters Paper on card base.  Then on Cryogen White Paper with Memento Ink stamp the butterfly and with Ranger Archival Ink stamp the image from the Delicate Asters and Butterflies Set.  Color both with Copics.  Detail cut the butterfly and adhere center of butterfly to card front.  Trim image to 2 1/4" x 4 1/4" and matte on green cardstock and adhere to card front, adding self adhesive pearls as embellishments.  Trim saying "Just fluttering by . . . " from HC Delicate Asters Paper and matte on green cardstock and adhere to card front.  Add Craftworks Candi to bottom left of card.  Add Smooch Glitz to butterflies as desired.
