Heartfelt Creations

I love hydrangea's, but I can't get a hydrangea to bloom to save my life. I can grow almost any flower in my perennial gardens, but I had one hydrangea for over twelve years and it never had one bloom on it and another hydrangea bush I have had for seven years and it has only had three blooms on it in seven years. I guess I am a lot better at coloring this beautiful stamped hydrangea from Heartfelt Creations, than I am growing them!

Supplies:
  • Stamps:  Heartfelt Creations Hydrangea/Posy Branch Set – HCPC 3301,Heartfelt Creations Large Elegant Word Background – HCPC 3323, Heartfelt Creations Posy Patch Flowers Set – HCPC 3303
  • Die:   Posy Patch Die – HCD 701
  • Paper:  Cryogen White, Bazzill & My Mind’s Eye
  • Ink:  Ranger Distress Ink – Walnut Stain & Antique Linen
  • Copics:   RV32, RV34, RV69, G28, G24, G21, E31, E37, E35
  • Embellishments:    I-Rock Crystals, Ribbon, Crystal Brad

Easel Card Instructions:
Cut one 4 ¼” x 4 ¼” piece of cardstock and one 4 ¼” x 8 ½” piece of cardstock. Score the 4 ¼” x 8 ½” cardstock at the 4 1/4” and the 6 3/8” measurement lines on the Scor-Pal or other scoring tool. Prefold all score lines. First fold the card in half, then at the second score line (6 3/8”) fold the opposite direction. Place the card on the table with the 4 ¼” side down. Add double sided tape to the 2 1/8” x 4 ¼” section cardstock facing up. Now attach the precut 4 ¼” x 4 ¼” piece of cardstock to the base, lining it up to make a perfect square. This creates the easel card base. Now decorate the 4 ¼” square front as desired.

Cut a 4 ¼” square out of Bazzill cream colored cardstock and with Ranger Distress Ink in Walnut Stain stamp Heartfelt Creations Large Elegant Word Background. Attach to 4 ¼” square front on card. Next on Cryogen White paper stamp the Hydrangea and color with Copics, shading as desired. Also stamp an additional 10 small flowers from the Posy Patch Flower set and color with Copics. Cut out Hydrangea and use the Spellbinders Posy Patch Die to cut out the 10 small flowers. With glue dots adhere the small flowers on to various posies to add dimension. Use I-Rock tool to add hot fix crystals to center of each flower. Apply pop dots to back of hydrangea and attach to 4 ¼” square stamped with Large Elegant Word Background. Make a bow and use a crystal brad for the center. Attach to the stem of the flower with a glue dot. For card base cut a 4 ¼” x 4 ¼” piece of cardstock from patterned paper and adhere to base of card. Stamp sentiment on Cryogen White paper and distress edges with Ranger Distress Ink in Antique Linen. Attach to green Bazzill cardstock and attach to base with pop dots. Make sure to use enough pop dots on the sentiment -- that is what makes the card stand up for display!
