Coffee - Warms the Soul Card

Warms the Soul Card

Other Products:  Curious Iridescent - Cryogen White Paper; White Cardstock; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs; ColorBox Fluid Chalk Ink Pad - French Blue; Copics - E40, E42, E43, E74, E77, B91, B93, B95, B97, C00, C1; Ultrafine Transparent Art Glitter - Nirvana, Fog and Wildwood; Navy Seam Binding; The Robin's Nest Dew Drops - Mocha Trail; Viva Decor Pearl Pen - Yellow

Instructions:  Create a top fold 6" x 6" card base and then adhere a 6" x 6" piece of the cream design paper from the Coffee Talk Paper Collection.  Next cut a blue piece of the design paper to 5 3/4" square and with Dark Brown Chalk Ink stamp the coffee beans from the The Perfect Blend Set randomly on the paper.  Color in the coffee beans with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and a Fantastix Blending Tool.  Adhere paper to the card base and then wrap navy seam binding around the top of the card front, finishing with a bow.  Next on Cryogen White Paper with Tuxedo Black Ink stamp the coffee cup from the Coffee Talk Set and color with Copics.   Die cut the coffee cup with the Coffee Talk Die.  Add Nirvana (blue) glitter to the flowers and swirls on the coffee cup and Wildwood (brown) glitter to the coffee in the cup.  Die cut a piece of navy design paper using the Cut Mat Create 2B die and add Nirvana Glitter to the edges of the rectangle before adhering to the card front with pop dots.  Die cut a piece of white cardstock using the Ornate Borders and Pocket Dies to create a doily and adhere to navy rectangle with Dries Clear Adhesive using the Metal Glue Tip.  Adhere the coffee cup on the doily with pop dots.  On White Cardstock with Antique Linen Distress Ink stamp the whipped cream from the Coffee Talk Set and then die cut with the Coffee Talk Die.  Sponge edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink.  Add Crystal Glitter with Dries White Glue to the whipped cream.  On White Cardstock with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink stamp the spoon image from the Coffee Talk Set and die cut with the Coffee Talk Die.  Color spoon with Copics C00 and C1 and then add Fog Art Glitter to spoon with Dries Clear Adhesive.  Add to card front as shown with a small pop dot and Dries Clear Adhesive.  On White Cardstock that has been die cut with the Cut Mat Create 1B die stamp the "Warms the soul" sentiment from the Coffee Mug set with Espresso Truffle Ink.  Add Nirvana Glitter to the edges of the sentiment with Dries Clear Adhesive.  Wrap edge around the card front securing with Dries Clear Adhesive and a pop dot.  Add a yellow center to the flowers on the coffee cup using the Yellow Pearl Pen.  With Dries Clear Adhesive add Silver Dew Drops to the corners of the navy rectangle.

  3. Candy, I love how you've used the ornate die cut under the coffee cup to mimic a doily...and that whipped topping looks real enough to eat!
