WINTER HOME . . . WITH WANT2SCRAP

Last week we received over a foot of snow, waist deep snow drifts and wind chills of 40 below zero! How has your weather been?

Today I am sharing a card in which I created a winter scene using Nina Brackett's cardstock shapes from Want2Scrap. With a sponge I added DecoArt® Metallic Lustre - Iced Espresso to one of the houses from Houses by Nina Brackett - Card Sized, DecoArt® Metallic Lustre - Gold Rush to one of the fences from Fences by Nina Brackett - Card Sized, and DecoArt® Dazzling Metallics - Peacock Pearl on several clouds from Clouds by Nina Brackett - Card Sized.

The 6" x 6" card base is created with cardstock from the Tradition Collection from Authentique and the Noland Paper Pad from Farm House Paper Company. I then adhered the House by Nina Brackett - Card Sized to the card front and with Art Glitter Designer Dries Clear Adhesive I adhered Polar White Flower Soft to the rooftop. With Forest Moss Distress Ink I stamped the trees from Heartfelt Creations HCPC 3432 - Magnificent Spruce Trees on the card and then with Dries Clear Adhesive I added Art Glitter Ultratransparent Glitter - Crystal to the trees. Then with small pop dots I added the Fence by Nina Brackett - Card Sized in front of the stamped trees. I added the Clouds by Nina Brackett - Card Sized above the scene with pop dots. Finally, beneath the House and Fence I added Polar White Flower Soft on the ground to complete the snowy scene.

With Memento Ink I stamped the "Home . . . is where the heart is" sentiment from Heartfelt Creations HCPC 3449 - Door to My Heart PreCut Set on cardstock that had been die cut with Spellbinders Fancy Framed Tags Two. I then added LeCreme Baby Bling Pearls to finish the Fancy Framed Tag.

COOL SNOWMAN CARD

Today I want to share with you a cool Snowman Card with Want2Scrap® Nestabling! This cute snowman stamp and sentiment is from Susan K Weckesser's Unity One of a kind Winter stamp set.

With Memento Ink I stamped the snowman and "Let it Snow" sentiment on Cryogen White paper that had been die cut with Spellbinders Labels Four and then I colored it with Copics. Next I added DecoArt® Paper Effects Black Pearl to the snowman's buttons and Art Glitter Ultrafine Transparent Crystal Glitter to look like sparkly snow.

I then matted the image on green design paper from the Farm House Paper Company Norland Paper Pad die cut with the corresponding Labels Four. I created the 6" x 6" card base from Bazzill cardstock. Next I adhered a 6" square piece of the Norland Paper and then a 5 1/2" piece of corresponding piece of the design paper. Next I wrapped a piece of May Art Ribbon around the top of the card and finished it with a designer brad. I then added Want2Scrap® Swirls - Silver Rhinestones to add even more sparkle to the card!

To finish the card I added this cute Want2Scrap® Fences by Nina Brackett - Card Sized. I colored the fence with DecoArt® Metallic Lustre Iced Espresso and adhered it to the card front with Helmar® Professional Acid Free Glue.
