HC CARDS & WALLHANGING

Good morning!  It's Wednesday and time for me to show you some more projects I created for Heartfelt Creations.  First, I need to tell you that unfortunately this will be my last official post as a HC Design Team member my term ends on April 30th.  The new Design Team will be announced on the HC Blog next Wednesday, May 1st.  I just want to say that I have enjoyed every minute of being on the HC Design Team for the last 1 1/2 years.  It has been an amazing journey!

I only started stamping and coloring with Copics 2 1/2 years ago when a small scrapbook store, More Memories, opened in my home town.  I started taking some card and coloring classes at the store and I never knew that would lead me to starting a blog, being on a Design Team, having my work published sixteen times and my work on display at CHA and other industry trade shows.  I have met so many amazing people in real life and in blogland.  It has turned out to truly be a blessing in my life and just what I needed, when I needed it.  God is truly amazing!

I am a stay-at-home wife and mother and my girls are teenagers now.  They do not require as much day to day care as when they were little, but I still want to be at home and be available for their after school talks and to help with their activities. I also need to help take care of my parents, who have a lot of health problems and I serve on the funeral dinner committee at church, which I have done for eight years.  Designing is a hobby/job that I can do where I am still at home and  I can work around my family obligations. It also helps support my craft habit (which we all know can be expensive)! My husband is a corporate pilot and travels and so I also want to be home when he is home and I need a hobby to fill my time when he is gone.  Designing cards and coloring with Copics is my outlet, it is something I do for me, but yet I can still fulfill my responsibilities as a wife, mother, daughter, friend and sister-in-Christ like I want and need to.

I want to thank Emma Lou and Linda for giving me the opportunity to be on the HC Design Team.  It has been a great experience and I truly love all of the HC products.  It has been very easy to design for HC because their stamps, dies and papers are so beautiful and fit my style perfectly.  I am going to participate in the Heartfelt Creations Alumni Blog Hops on the last Tuesday of the Month.  I also am going to make card samples for the stamping and scrapbooking store, More Memories and I am going to start teaching card classes there as well.  I will be sharing the cards I create for the store and the classes here on my blog.

Sorry for such a long, wordy post today.  Hopefully, I didn't get too sentimental.  Now on to the cards and wall hanging I made this week for Heartfelt Creations.  On  the Lighthouse Step Card I made this week, again I used seashells that I found on Lido Beach from our family vacation to Sarasota, Florida a few weeks ago.
